Meet the winemaker
Millesime Cellars was founded by Brittany Jean Rice, a winemaker whose journey began in 1999. With over two decades of hands-on experience, Brittany brings together her expertise in winemaking, culinary arts, and fine arts to create wines that are as thoughtful as they are delicious.
Trained at Le Cordon Bleu and deeply rooted in sustainable viticulture, Brittany approaches each vintage with intention—blending tradition, innovation, and a deep respect for the land.
From barrel to bottle
Every bottle of Millesime Cellars wine is crafted by hand. From selecting premium fruit from SIP-certified and sustainably farmed vineyards to carefully aging in barrel, bottling, corking, waxing, and labeling—we oversee every step of the process.
Our wines are made in small batches, ensuring quality and character in every pour. We believe in sustainable practices, minimal intervention, and letting the vineyard speak for itself.
The Collection
Our portfolio features limited-production wines from Santa Ynez Valley and beyond, including:
Bleu Saphir – Left Bank–Style Bordeaux Blend. An opulent yet polished expression, revealing deep notes of blackberry and wild huckleberry interwoven with hints of licorice, espresso, and cocoa nib.
Caliou Bleu – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc & Syrah. A bold yet composed blend opening with layered notes of blackberry, cassis, and dark plum, accented by hints of violet, crushed herbs, and black pepper.
Le Jardin Viognier – This Rhône-style Viognier expresses an elegant, refined texture with a seamless palate. Bright notes of yuzu, pear, apricot, and kiwi berry are complemented by jasmine florals, creating a lifted, aromatic profile with a clean, graceful finish.
Le Reflexion – Syrah & Viognier Co-Ferment. Le Réflexion showcases the elegance of a Syrah and Viognier co-ferment, where a small portion of Viognier enhances aromatics, texture, and lift.
Lumiere Du Fleur – A Pomerol Style Blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc with a balanced palate from front to mid-palate through the finish. Layers of Mission fig, blackberry, tobacco smoke, tea leaf, anise, black pepper, and espresso create depth, structure, and a refined savory finish.
Stone Rouge – Syrah, Carignan & Mourvèdre. A deeply expressive red blend layered with notes of black plum, wild blackberry, and crushed raspberry, accented by hints of dried herbs, black olive, cracked pepper, and warm earth.
Terre Verte – Cabernet Franc & Malbec. A beautifully composed blend opening with lifted aromatics of boysenberry, black cherry, and ripe currants.
